Been Around...

Well it's been awhile since I posted. I've been travelling and then fell sick so haven't been able to post. I was in New York for Halloween Weekend and had a fantastic time thanks to Dizzy and Fam. I eneded up seeing a few people that i hadn't seen in awhile and it was great.

Dizzy has known me the longest of anyone that isn't related to me. He's built himself a little commune in the northeast and it was soo much fun. Imagine a house filled with 4 crazy dogs and 6-12 crazy people. Tons of technology, including lights controlled by the tv remote.

i arrived friday night and went out with my old roomate from boston who also lived in the area. Try to go o Jay-Z's 40/40 club..but after 45 mins of nonsense by the bouncers..we were out and ended up at Eugene's. a half block away. DON"T GO THERE. The music was great..but the vibe was WICKIDY WHACK!!!! It was just sooo lame. I couldn't understand why soo many people were there especially when we were gobsmacked by the $30 entrance fee. Lucky for me my friend paid. I got him back the next night for the party but at a cheaper price. Anyway it was good to see him though. He's a really good friend and has a great girlfriend. Who also has a dog. What's going on with all these people getting dogs? anyone? please let me know in teh comments section. I mean i had fun with the dogs when i was there but i don't know if toddlers are as troublesome.

The next day was very cool also. Met up with my boy from college, jaysensation. Jay just moved to brooklyn and is lovin it. He lives in a great place and a great neighborhood. It aint Bed Stuy ya'll it's Cobble Hill. Place that has now become an extension of manhattan..ut wth a very heighborhood feel. It was really nice to be there. We had breakfast at a place I wish i remembered cause D**M it was good. I'm gonna get him to find it again so he can let me know and i'll let you, all 3 ppl that read this thing, know. So we walkd around and went into the lower east side of the city. Walked through Chinatown and a little bit of Soho. Oh did i mention I LOVE NEW YORK CITY!!! i also met hi girlfriend of many years. I was the first of our groupd of friends to meet her and i must say he's done well for himself. She's very nice. From there it was back home and on to the party. He didn't come to my party cause he had another one to go to but i will say he had the best costume i had seen. hopefully i can get pics linked for his costume soon.

As for our party all i can say was it was a great time. The DJ was out of this world. Turnout could have been better but the weather was a factor. Still enough came out and a good time was had by all. The Bartender was *smoking* in her lara croft outfit and by the end of the night gave us a little coyote ugle demo on the bar. Too bad i didn't have a handful of singles in hand ;-)

The funny thing about the night is that i lost my voice at the beginning of the party. Not from screaming but just cause. i must have picked upa bug or something. So for the whole night i'm seeing ppl i hadn't seen in awhile and trying to talk to them but can't get anything out and being all raspy and such. It was annoying but i stillhad fun..thanks to the DJ. Oh and there was one costume..the guy who won most obscene..well some people are brave and some people have issues. and his was a case of both. Also the guy who won most creative was the horse. He made the costume himself..very impressive. Anyway here are the pics. enjoy yourself.

Sunday was spent veggin out. I went nowhere and did nothing..in fact the whole house basically slept till dinner then a nice veggie lasagna was made and I was driven to the airport. I miss it already. It truly felt like home.

If this thing doesn't work out and i don't go to london..i'll be heading to the east coast for sure. Home is where the Heart is. But as for now..i hope my eastward journey included hopping the atlantic. Until then...

carrots,

Kotoko
